NIST examines laser melting process with custom-made 3D printer - the Additive Manufacturing Metrology Testbed
Jul 7, 2017 | By David A new way to optimize the performance of metal 3D printing technology is currently being developed and tested by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST). NIST has created the Additive Manufacturing Metrology Testbed, a custom-made 3D printer that gives its researchers complete control over the 3D printing process so it can be studied in depth, in real-time.
