Nearly five months after United Technologies Corp. opened its $60 million refurbished research center, researchers on Friday showed off its additive manufacturing, artificial intelligence and other projects. David Parekh, corporate vice president for research and director of the United Technologies Research Center, said scheduling a media day for reporters helps boost the center's visibility among customers, a global workforce and researchers who may want to come to work at the East Hartford site.
