Worldwide shipments of 3D printers rose once again in 2016, according to IDC.Sales in the market grew by more than 18% year over year as shipments increased 29%.Strongest demand came from Asia-Pacific, which is now the largest 3D printing region in the world.The North American market went through a slight recovery, but was still down on the previous year.Specialist manufacturing was the best performing area for the technology sector, with shipments up by nearly 30% in 2016 compared the previous year.
